Grief Decluttering

Honor Their Memory. Reclaim Your Home.

Sorting through a loved one's belongings isn't simply a decluttering project. Every item can carry a memory, a story, or an emotion—and deciding what stays and what goes can feel overwhelming.

You don't have to rush the process or make those decisions alone.

I provide compassionate, judgment-free grief decluttering and organizing support to help you thoughtfully sort through belongings at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we'll preserve what matters most, find meaningful ways to honor special belongings, and gently create space for the life you're living now.

You Don't Have to Do It All at Once

There is no timeline for grief, and there shouldn't be a one-size-fits-all timeline for sorting through someone's belongings either.

Maybe you've lost someone recently. Maybe their belongings have remained untouched for years. Or perhaps you've started several times but find yourself emotionally exhausted or unsure what to do with everything.

Wherever you are in the process, we'll start there.

I'll provide the structure and practical guidance while you remain in control of every decision. Nothing is discarded simply because someone else thinks you "should" be ready to let it go.

My Grief Decluttering Process

1. Understand You & Your Space

Before we begin sorting, we'll talk about what you're facing, which spaces feel most overwhelming, and what you'd like your home to feel like when we're finished.

We'll also explore your Nesting Style so the organizing systems we eventually create fit the way you naturally live and maintain your belongings.

2. Compassionate Decluttering

Together, we'll thoughtfully work through clothing, keepsakes, paperwork, household items, inherited belongings, and other possessions at a pace that feels manageable.

I'll help you sort items into practical categories such as keep, share with family, donate, relocate, or let go—without pressure or judgment.

3. Space Planning & Home Zoning

Once we understand what you're keeping, we'll create a functional plan for your space based on how you live today, what you use most often, and what you want your home to become.

This gives us a clear direction before we begin organizing.

4. Organize for Your Natural Habits

We'll create practical organizing systems around your Nesting Style and everyday routines rather than forcing you into a system that looks good but doesn't work for you.

The goal is a home that feels calmer, functions better, and is realistic to maintain.

5. Label for Clarity

When helpful, we'll add simple labels so belongings have clear homes and everyone in the household knows where things belong.

This can reduce decision fatigue and make your new systems easier to maintain.

6. Create a Maintenance Plan

Before we're finished, we'll create realistic strategies for maintaining your progress.

The goal isn't perfection. It's giving you simple systems and routines that help your home continue supporting you as life moves forward.
