ADHD-Friendly Organizing
Organizing That Works With Your Brain
If you've tried organizing over and over only to watch the clutter slowly return, the problem may not be a lack of effort. The system may simply not fit the way you naturally function.
I provide ADHD-friendly home organizing and decluttering support focused on creating practical, personalized systems around your habits, routines, and the way you use your space.
Together, we'll reduce clutter, simplify everyday tasks, and create a home that's easier to navigate and maintain—without expecting perfection.
Your Home Should Work With You, Not Against You
Traditional organizing advice can look great on Pinterest but still be difficult to maintain in everyday life. Too many steps, complicated categories, or storing frequently used items where they're easily forgotten can turn a beautiful system into another source of frustration.
That's why I don't believe in one “ADHD organizing system.”
Instead, we'll look at how you naturally function in your home—what you reach for, where things tend to land, what you need to see, what you'd rather have tucked away, and which routines are realistic for you.
The goal isn't a picture-perfect home. It's a functional home that makes everyday life easier.
My ADHD-Friendly Organizing Process
1. Understand You & Your Nesting Style
We'll start by talking about what's working, what's frustrating you, and which areas of your home create the most stress.
We'll also explore your Nesting Style to understand whether you prefer things visible or hidden and simple or detailed, helping us create systems you're more likely to maintain.
2. Reduce the Overwhelm
We'll declutter one manageable area at a time rather than trying to tackle everything at once.
I'll help guide the decision-making process so we can reduce excess belongings and create breathing room—without turning the project into one giant, exhausting task.
3. Create Purposeful Zones
We'll decide where things belong based on where and how you actually use them, not where they're traditionally “supposed” to go.
4. Organize for Your Natural Habits
We'll build personalized organizing systems around your Nesting Style, routines, and existing habits.
That might mean open storage and visual cues for one person or simple hidden storage for another. The system should fit you—not the other way around.
5. Label & Simplify
When helpful, we'll use labels, visual cues, easy-access storage, and simple categories to remove unnecessary steps and make it clear where things belong.
The easier a system is to use, the easier it is to maintain.
6. Create a Realistic Maintenance Routine
Before we're finished, we'll identify simple routines that can help prevent clutter from slowly creeping back.
No complicated cleaning schedule or expectation of perfection—just realistic strategies that fit into your everyday life.
